ART FOR TIBET 2017
Proche de Dharamsala, le village de Mac Leod Ganj est situé dans le nord de l’Inde, au pied de la chaîne Himalayenne.
Il est le lieu de résidence du Dalaî Lama et du gouvernement tibétain en exil. Le 10 mars de chaque année, les tibétains y commémorent le soulèvement populaire qui eut lieu à Lhassa en 1959.
Le 10 Mars 2016, l’artiste Mister Christ était sur place muni d’une quinzaine d’oeuvres réalisées par les artistes du collectif Art For Tibet.
Portés par un désir de bienveillance, de compassion, de fraternité et associés à des jeunes tibétains, les murs du village sont devenus témoins des pensées d’accompagnement du collectif, comme un premier lien tissé entre les artistes et le peuple tibétain.
En 2017, le collectif a rendez-vous avec le peuple tibétain…
Close to Dharamsala, the village of Mac Leod Ganj is located in the north of India, at the foot of the Himalayan range. It is the residence of the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government in exile. On 10 March each year, Tibetans commemorate the popular uprising in Lhasa in 1959. On March 10, 2016, the artist Mister Christ was on site equipped with fifteen works by the artists of the collective Art For Tibet. Worn by a desire for benevolence, compassion, fraternity and associated with young Tibetans, the walls of the village became witnesses of the accompanying thoughts of the collective, as a first link woven between the artists and the Tibetan people.
