RÉSIDENCE AVANT DESTRUCTION 2014
Du 23 septembre au 5 octobre 2014, le collectif 9ème Concept a coproduit une nouvelle résidence artistique dans les murs du Carré à Bayonne, en partenariat avec la municipalité et dans le prolongement du festival Black & Basque.
Désiré il y a plus de 20 ans par son conservateur historique, le regretté Vincent Ducourau, Le Carré était parfaitement connu des Bayonnais comme l’annexe du Musée Bonnat-Helleu, pour les expositions temporaires d’art contemporain. Avant de tourner une page de son histoire et d’être transféré aux Affaires Maritimes, ce lieu emblématique a vu son espace entièrement investi par le collectif d’artistes dans le cadre d’une co-production avec Festival Black & Basque et en partenariat avec la ville de Bayonne.
Une semaine de création pour proposer une oeuvre artistique collective monumentale du 1er au 5 octobre 2014 avant la fermeture définitive du lieu.
Parmi la vingtaine d’artistes présents, on retrouve des artistes ayant participé à la résidence de la Tour Pleyel, des artistes internationaux reconnus, et des artistes du pays basque.
Pour le 9ème Concept, Stephane Carricondo, Ned, Jerk 45, Alexandre d’Alessio, Clément Laurentin, Romain Froquet, Jules Hidrot, Théo Lopez, LapinThur, Jeykill et Veenom étaient présents.
Parmi les invités, Hervé Di Rosa, Jean Faucheur, Gonzalo Extebarria, Grems, Niark1, Gilbert Mazout, LX One, Patxi Laskarai, Iker Valle, Landry, The Blind et Pedro.
From September 23rd to October 5th 2014, the 9ème Concept collective co-produced a new artistic residence within the walls of the Carré in Bayonne, in partnership with the municipality and in the extension of the Black & Basque festival.
Wanted more than 20 years ago by its historical curator, the late Vincent Ducourau, Le Carré was perfectly
known to the Bayonese as an annex to the Bonnat-Helleu Museum for temporary exhibitions of contemporary art.
Before turning a page of its history and being transferred to the Maritime Affairs, this emblematic place has seen its space entirely invested by the collective of artists in the framework of a co-production with Festival Black & Basque and in partnership with
The city of Bayonne. A week of creation to propose a monumental collective artistic work from 1 to 5 October 2014 before the final closing of the place.
Among the 20 artists present, there are artists who participated in the residence of the Tour Pleyel,recognized international artists, and artists of the Basque country.
